The National University of Management is committed to improving the quality of management for the twenty-first century by advancing knowledge through applied research and creating a stimulating teaching-learning environment. The DBA degree program normally requires three years of intensive study beyond the master's degree. Since the NUM-DBA program focuses on developing competent scholars, heavy emphasis is placed on the development of both teaching and researching skills. In addition, all doctoral students are required to demonstrate competence in scholarly research. Students are expected to work closely with faculty members whose interests are similar to their own.
The NUM-DBA Program seeks to educate future management researchers and teachers who:
To meet the NUM-DBA Program, the student must hold a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA or equivalent) from a recognition university and have a master's degree grade of at least B+. For those students who hold a master's degree other than MBA, and have never exposed to the following courses in: accounting, finance, marketing, management, and international business; the remedial courses need to be satisfied before they are admitted into the Program. Students are required to submit evidence of proficiency in the use of English language. Three letters of recommendation are required as part of the application procedure.
